Leaves & Large Piles

Please do NOT rake your leaves to the curb or into the street! Bag your leaves or debris and place in your cart if there is room. If there is not room in your cart, bag your leaves/debris and place on the curb to be picked up by the "claw" truck on Thursday or Friday, depending on your route days.

Why did the city phase out the leaf truck service? It was a combination of truck repairs/expenses and staffing issues.

For large piles of debris that will not fit in bags, a reminder of material NOT accepted: construction debris, blocks, bricks, concrete, piles of dirt, tile, tires, more than household amounts of hazardous waste, car batteries, large car parts (rotors, etc.), landscape or railroad cross ties, medical waste, needles, animal carcasses.
