Finance Highlights 06/03/24
1. Committee approved a motion to request to upgrade the current PC Network Tech position to a Network Systems Administrator 1. The will allow the city to have an employee that can do the work that is currently being contracted out at $13,000 a month. It is an increase of $15,000 per year. This item now goes for a full vote from the council June 10, 2024.
2. Committee approved a motion to request permission to adopt the Division G Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan and have the Mayor sign a validation statement. This item now goes for a full vote from the council June 10, 2024.

Public Safety Highlights 06/03/24
1. Committee approved a request for the mayor to sign an agreement with the City of Mountain Brook for fire equipment. This is about sharing resources. This will allow for each jurisdiction to use each others equipment and staff when needed. This works especially well for specially trained personal for very specific things that can respond to either jurisdiction where needed. This item now goes for a full vote from the council June 10, 2024.
2. Committee approved a request for consideration to expand the entertainment district in West Homewood. This is to encompass the new construction and businesses planned for the area. This item now goes for a full vote from the council June 10, 2024.
3. Committee approved a request to authorize an ordinance to prevent motorized vehicles (motorcycles, golf carts, etc.) on the Greenway Phase I and II trails. This item now goes for a full vote from the council June 10, 2024.
