• Sealed BIDS for the Homewood Pedestrian Underpass will be received by the City of Homewood until 3:00pm on the 8th day of July 2025, at the office of City Clerk, 2nd Floor City Hall, 2850 19th Street South, Homewood, AL 35209.
• Bids will be opened at 3:01 p.m. on the 8th day of July 2025, at the office of the City Clerk, 2nd Floor City Hall, 2850 19th Street South, Homewood, AL 35209.

Scope of Work:

The project scope includes landscape, hardscape, irrigation, electrical, and concrete work to be constructed at the underpass at Oxmoor Road and US Highway 31. Construction of the improvements will require stone veneer, fencing, columns, etc.

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at Alabama Graphics, 2801 5th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233 or downloaded online at www.algraphicsplanroom.com. Payment for plans is the responsibility of the Contractor.

The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Each BIDDER must deposit with his/her BID security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful BIDDER will be required to submit 100% Performance and Payment Bonds.

All BIDDERS must comply with the requirements of the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work for which a proposal is submitted. The submission of the BIDDER's current State of Alabama License number will be required before his/her BID will be received or considered and shall be written on the outside of the envelope in which BID is submitted.

No BIDDER may withdraw his/her BID within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Pre-Bid Conference (MANDATORY): A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Underpass entrance at Oxmoor Road and US Highway 31 in Homewood, Alabama, 35209. Bidders must attend.

Questions shall be submitted at least five (5) business days before the response deadline. Questions

received after this time will not be addressed. Responses from the City that substantially alter this

RFQ will be issued in the form of a written addendum and posted on the City’s website. All

proposals submitted shall remain open to acceptance for ninety (90) days from the response

deadline.
